General Description:

To ensure that the operational programs are safely implemented at the well site according to approved standards and procedures. To supervise sub-contractors and motivate them to perform to high operational and safety standards. He will also provide regular input as to how operations can be improved. He will take ownership for ensuring that materials and personnel requirements for ongoing operations are identified and communicated to Company office in a timely manner.

Responsible for:

• Holding on site pre spud and pre job safety meetings (as required) to ensure that all crew and service personnel are fully aware of the safety (or hazards) aspects of upcoming operations. Ensuring compliance with approved HSE documents.

• The day-to-day control of the drilling rig based operations and the supervision of contractor personnel when carrying out operations as per approved program and procedures.

• Working closely with the Rig Contractor representative, who is responsible for the day-to-day control of personnel on a contracted unit.

• Ensure that a pre-job meeting is carried out before each special operation, where all the details of the operation will be fully explained.

• Providing input as to how operations can be improved, made safer and/or more efficient.

• Preparation of all relevant reports including but not limited to:-

o Daily Reports

o Tubular running Reports

o Well integrity Test Reports

o Accident and Incident Reports.

• Accuracy of operation data acquisition and reporting.

• Ensuring requirements/contractual obligations between Company and Rig contractor are met.

• Work in collaboration with HSE Supervisor to meet HSE targets of the well operations.

• Work in collaboration with OLC supervisor to ensure all the security requirements for the well site are met.

• Organize the work of the Material Man at the well site to ensure daily control of inventory stock at well site.

• Organizes the daily work of any GBRS trainee sent at well site.

• Organize, coordinate and supervise Service Companies work to ensure a smooth and efficient operation progress:

o Ensure that all well site operations are conducted according to the Company manual, the Company safety rules.

o Issue day-to-day detail job instructions to all contractors on the rig site. Monitor contracted staff for the progress of all operations works on well site.

o Ensure that all works which are performed by Service Companies under his responsibility are properly done and interest prevailed.

• Coordinate for the material, equipment, personnel and vehicle movement to site:

o Plan and liaise with Drilling Superintendent for ordering material, equipment delivery and contractor personnel to transfer to Site.

o Liaise and plan truck, aircraft movement with other Company representative in the field.

o Ensure that the equipment sent to the site is correct and in good condition.

• Emergency situation and/or when lives and properties are endangered including medical evacuation, sandstorm emergency situation, blow-out emergency, etc:

o Be as the first point of contact and on-scene commander (man-in-charge) in case of emergency situation occurs on the site.

o Ensure execution of emergency procedures before reporting to Drilling Superintendent for further instructions.

• Update and improve procedures by giving recommendation to Drilling Superintendent.

Work experience requirements:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in drilling and workover operations with at least 3 years in Day supervisor position or higher. It is highly recommended to have experience in similar job position either in Algeria or for onshore drilling operations internationally.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in engineering or related field.

• Chartered as a member of a recognized international professional body is desirable.

• Good command of written and spoken English.

• Good command of spoken French is preferred.

• Good knowledge of computer applications.

• Valid Well control certificate, Safety supervisory course.
